Lost

Lost

A Poem by Ethale Captor
"

Please excuse my forlorn style of writing.

"

Here I am once again

Wondering where to begin

Not knowing exactly what to say

As if it mattered anyway

Trying to cast out my hate

But it aways seems to resonate

Off the walls of an empty heart

A confused mind with no where to start

My mind is running full speed at

100 miles an hour flat

Yet not making a declaration

Or ever reaching a destination

My heart and soul are twisted around

In such a way a meaning’s not found

I’ve fallen from a high love state

And finally hitting the ground to break

I haven’t gotten the words to say

To completely express the way

I feel right now besides tossed

Away, condemned to being lost

Like Jo March, I really love the last line. Amazing poem, the rhyme scheme seems a little forced in some places, but that goes away when reading aloud. Good job! Another great one :)

Thank you
I love the last line, the idea of being condemned for being lost. Lovely writing style you have.
