Steps

My apologies, this is yet another lost love poem.

The steps you take

Cause my heart to break

My mind to awake

With you leaving once again

The steps you take

Cause my soul to ache

Scream for sanity’s sake

As I helpless watch you leave

The steps you take

Cause my body to quake

As my pending thoughts make

Me realize you are gone again

The steps you take

Cause my faith to shake

And lie just to make

It without you another day

The steps you take

Cause tears to break

Forth and erode away

All sense of hope for better
