Outside Observer

Outside Observer

A Poem by MeaninglessWords
"

A piece about what it is like to live life through my eyes.

"

I am the one who sits at the Helm

I am the one who is in control.

I am always watching, sitting and observing, always wanting and rarely receiving.

I am here for the ride, never there, always on the outside.

I want to be there for the experience, but once I arrive the moment has long passed.

So I just keep at the helm, watching and smiling as I sit let life play it’s chaos out all around me, although I am never there, just an outside observer.

I am outside my own life, never there in the moment, just sitting back and watching as I spend my days going by

Each moment in this life floats on by and I cannot catch them

I want to be there in the moment I want to be carefree, I want to regain control, take back the helm.
