Finding a Lost Heart

Finding a Lost Heart

A Poem by Nexus
"

poem.

"
I found a broken heart
on a cold December day
just beating beating beating
its tiny life away.

I picked it up and looked around
for the body it called home
but everyone neglected it
their silence overblown.

Then fate intervened
and I ran in your path
it was your heart all along it seemed
and time to give it back.

But with a smile on your face
that heart warmed ever soon
and made that cold December day
feel like the middle of June.

Keep it, you said
don't ever let it go
put it right next to yours
safe from where the wind blows.

So even if we're far apart
I know you'll be back
because I have your heart.

Nexus....... I don't know what to say bud. I've read good and good poems in here. That's one of them. This one actually moved me. I like the "December day" for first. I love Decemver and winter in general and Christmas in general, so....
Also: "beating it's tiny love away", that's great. Also, I like the answer you were given. To keep the heart I mean. It's a favourtie for me now.
