Love is Eternal

Love is Eternal

A Poem by Nexus
"

a poem by me.

"
He loved her with his heart and soul
and knew she felt the same
he wanted to feel her warm embrace
though he knew not her name.

Shy and ever quiet,
she stood outside the crowd
she watched him from afar,
for her heart was full of doubt.

Then one day fate rung its bells
and their two worlds collided
it knocked them both out of their shells
and destiny was decided.

Distance may have made them frail
and their differences caused calamity
but together they knew they had a chance
that together they had immortality.

But as love usually goes,
this one ended with a tear
no one knows what happened that night
but from the world they disappeared.

Now in each others arms they stand
floating without fear
immortalized by the loved they shared
they know not shed more tears.

hey... this is really interesting.. in fact l almost wish you'd consider writing a side-story to it, to expand on what happened..
anyway
to me it's a very soft write - l can hear someone whispering each line to me, almost like a caress. l like that aspect of it. certain lines, tho, do ring as somewhat contradictory. ie the idea of floating and standing in one stanza just doesn't work for me.
other than that though, the only thing l really noticed was that you dont pull us into their thoughts too much - as it is it's distant, watching but not involved. not necessarily a bad thign, either.
anyway, nice. :0
