A Farewell on St. Patricks Day

A Farewell on St. Patricks Day

A Poem by Nexus
"

just something I wrote one day.

"
Twas a Rainy St. Patrick's Day
when we said good-bye.
No leprechauns or pots of gold
or rainbows in the sky.

Yet standing in that rain
only smiles were exchanged
No tears, heart ache, or feelings of pain
for we knew we'd meet again.

We shared a Pint just moments before
and reflected on what we had
all the moments we laughed and cried
all the good times, all the bad.

It was then that we agreed
that this was not the end
that luck was on our side
and we'd share a Pint again.

So as I waved good-bye
And watched that Taxi fade away
I only stood there with a smile
Saying see you next St. Patty's Day.

Wow. You have to wait a whole year before you get to share another pint....
I mean see that person again.
