Broken DownA Poem by LovecraftThe earth breaking a man down.
When the winds forced me to bow down,
Before an imperfect version of myself, A maddening call sings me a lullaby. When the ground shook me to my knees, Before I could properly right myself up, A quake broke through in a soft voice. When the sun above seared me alight, Before I could escape the heat of it, A sunset broke through.the woods. © 2018 LovecraftAuthor's Note
