Fallen Hearts

A notion on unrequited Love.

How far have you Fallen when your

Heart no longer beats for another,

An insomnia of the Hearts accord

That seems to have been misplaced.

She told you that she loved you

But you can see the truth in her

Blue eyes, beautiful as ever.

The aching pain feels permanent,

Like a shadow on a sunny day.

You hate her for not feeling what she cannot,

In spite of knowing it can never be forced,

No matter how much your Heart hurts.

love can never be forced..it needs to flow from within and yes it would reflect in the eyes...very true..
and oh yes unrequited love for sure is a pain in all wrong places :)

This is a feeling I think we all feel at one point in our lives and it's truly painful. On both sides. Loved every bit of it

You've beautifully portrayed the very important truth about true love, 'It never, never, dies" no matter how painful the departure was, somewhere or the other in some corners of the heart and soul, those memories still linger.The memories, of an incomplete, undestined love, where the souls loved and valued each other, but oh, the time and destiny, they didn't favor and the two persons have to move on almost unwilling...With the incessant sobbing heart.and yes, eyes never lie, words can, sometimes actions too can, but eyes don't.thet are always filled with truth ready to be read only by the one who actually can.


I loved this piece from you, and these lines mfrim your poem indeed touched me 😊:

Thank you very much! You are correct, this is autobiographical. I haven't seen her in many years but I still think about her from time to time and it's hard because I'm still in love with her.

:) true love never fades away. & those memories that linger now and than are but a symbol that it is still alive, though one or both people moved on even years back.
The minds tries to forget, the heart hesitates, but the soul? It fails to forget the other person because that's what ever made it happy, and therefore that void remains as such.Though time may change, and things change a lot...But somewhere the person and that remains the same with that void waiting for the other person to be back, though the mind already knows it's never gonna happen.

Good luck with your life ahead, kelvin.Things take time sometimes, but I'm sure it will all one day be okay.

True words. No matter how much you love a person, you can never force them to love you back the way you love them. And that does suck. I still find beauty in unrequited love, though.

This is actually based on a girl I knew since I was a kid. We were very close and we were both attracted to one another but she didn't really love me the way I loved her.
