Fallen Hearts

Fallen Hearts

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

A notion on unrequited Love.

"
How far have you Fallen when your
Heart no longer beats for another,
An insomnia of the Hearts accord
That seems to have been misplaced.
She told you that she loved you
But you can see the truth in her
Blue eyes, beautiful as ever.
The aching pain feels permanent,
Like a shadow on a sunny day.
You hate her for not feeling what she cannot,
In spite of knowing it can never be forced,
No matter how much your Heart hurts.

love can never be forced..it needs to flow from within and yes it would reflect in the eyes...very true..
and oh yes unrequited love for sure is a pain in all wrong places :)

Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out.
Wondrous poem, Kevin!!!
Gorgeously portrayed...Love must be free to flow in ones heart without any force, for not even the one that owns the heart, has hardly any control over it. Sometimes one is wonderful but the heart simply cannot agree with the mind. I guess the heart has its own mind.

I hope all is well with you dear.

That's the great line in there. The emotion a man felt within. I like the line so much. Your good at this lovecraft. Love that.

I'm honored, Capo. To be a Capo in the Italian Mafia... You must be important. ;P
Love with limits or boundaries. Sometimes love can encompass on heart so differently than anothers. You penned both sides well..

Honest and true words my friend.
"The aching pain feels permanent,
Like a shadow on a sunny day."
The above lines. Realistic words and thoughts. Once sweet love can turn to darkness. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I'm glad you are back and you are welcome.
Don't doubt you already know how it is - logic, age, experience tells us day in, day out: Love is the winner. supreme BUT on its own terms. It can carry a heart to the heavens or throw it from a cliff into the deepest deep. Your words, your sad but beautiful words, prove exactly that.
