An Indestructible Barrier

An Indestructible Barrier

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

A man has a conflict within himself.

"
A wall stood between me and my other self,
Secluding us from the combination of ourselves.

We repeatedly attempt to climb the barrier, but to no avail,
So we scream and yell in unison, unable to reach a conclusion.

We need to see each other, but we are barricaded from Us.

The wall stands tall, glaring on both sides,
Indifferent to our shared pain and anxiety.

It mocks us, it laughs at us, it destroys us...

Author's Note

Lovecraft
I improvised a lot with this poem, so tell me what you think, good or bad. ;)
Still adding lines at the moment, so check back later. Now that I think about it, this poem seems quite terrible, lol.
