Forget All

Forget All

A Poem by Lovecraft
"

Wishing to Forget everything.

"
I prefer to Forget All, a choice to be numb,
A chance to erase all that torments me,
A past that haunts me, consumes me.

Memories sidled on the edge of consciousness, hiding,
Waiting to be rediscovered within my mind, teasingly,
But I remove myself from this equation, just trying,
To Forget All.

The ghosts prevent me from moving on,
From deleting my past from my hard-drive,
They flit among the chaos that composes
My mind.

I can't rid them of my soul nor mind,
For they are the past reminders,
Of all I had ever done and seen.

I often try to erase or not think about many things,in the long run it does more damage avoiding the things we can't come to term with and then we find ourself laying in bed feeling haunted as the darkness swollows us whole.

Overall I think this piece needs a second look but I like it,just needs abit of tightning up...but I loved the topic and the feeling to it

Thanks and yes, it likely needs some polishing. Thanks for the tip. ;P
