Sad, but trueA Poem by Amberlynn Kaye
Your eyes are closed, the darkness is your mask.
Your emotions hyped, breathing is a difficult task. Evil surrounds you in a Vail, you've come to terms, lifes a fail. It becomes your pain, it becomes your friend, face it, your insane. It's the only thing you can turn to, something to fill the void, a replacement. Nightmares of blood shed by your hands, a battle amongst tainted lands. Your in the middle of war, one you have created, damaged and tore. Good means nothing in the eyes of a monster, sad but true, so you question if there's people just like you. Hearts long cold and black, there's no way of coming back. It's a fate locked, a seal, souls forgotten with each kill. Never questioning motives so dark, but leaving your mark, on ones in your path, so, descended, was your wrath. Crushing the balance in your palm, as the future is forged in stone, the heavens sing a different tone. Hate. It's a weapon of victory, you learn its ways, you fight, ignoring the voices and what they say. Blue orbs glow red, as all negative energy is being fed, nothing can stop the evil growing within you. The sound of flesh carved, brings satisfaction as you swing the blade, all else fades. These nothing left but the creature life made, you are of not pure or blood, the evil comes off you in a flood. You see nothing. You feel nothing. Smiling when the light dies, when not a one cries, cherishing the quiet as you realize you are alone and inferior. © 2015 Amberlynn Kaye |
