Memory Of HerA Story by Amberlynn Kaye
He set on the porch of the comfort of his home. The sky clear and blue with the sun that shined brightly over the fields. It was a warm day as the rays from the sun heated the land.
Rocking in his rocker, he stared up to a heaven where his beloved wife now called home and it was a broken heart that had him smile sadly as it wrenched in his chest with heartache and the picture of her flashed within his mind, a women with beautiful blond hair and eyes of sapphire with a smile that sent warmth through a cold heart. It was a summer of May and exactly a year that passed and reminded him of her death and as he set there he knew that she was in a better place as he grabbed his guitar and began to sing a song to the one that stole his heart at the age of seventeen. I am setting here, a heartache in loss, As I stare up into a clear filled sky, and I wonder why, A soul so beautiful is now gone and the angels, they cry, For a life lost but not forgotten, As her memory fills with the lonely void that I know feel, So I sing a song for her, A guitar in perfect harmony as she danced through my thoughts, I'm reminded of a heart so pure, I'm setting here proud, I'm setting here thinking of her smile, I'm setting with a memory of her. So I ask if she remembers when, Two young hearts beat as one when we came to be so, She would laugh and say we were match made in heaven, And then she would laugh at the way we came together, So I sing a song for her, A guitar in perfect harmony as she danced through my thoughts, I'm reminded of a heart so pure, I'm setting here proud, I'm setting here thinking of her smile, I'm setting with a memory of her. I'm setting.....with a memory....of her © 2015 Amberlynn KayeAuthor's Note
