A Childs Tears

A Childs Tears

A Story by Amberlynn Kaye

She's just a girl who never fit in with a crowd, who's always looking and hoping to be found but the person she is or could be becomes sheltered within herself and she shuts everything, everyone out. She cries because of cruelty and the voices of those who forsaken her to a life of pain. In her eyes she's a child who grew up listening to the mocking of others as they attacked her with cruel words that weren't true.

She's the girl who, even know, cries of a past gone completely wrong and out of her control as she stares towards a blank future. Her hands tremble, nerves once made of steel were fragile and broken and the harsh words still fill her thoughts and she can't help but cry as they laugh at her with hatred towards her.

They say a life is precious and easily corrupted. It's starts at the core when we are born. Growing up means learning and seeing the world, people for who they really are and what they become. She was put into a place where no one welcomed her as one of them but a misfit that deserved the calling of names and the embarrassment of being easily targeted.

She prayed to the heavens, to god that she knew was listening as she got on her knees and folded her hands with dried tear tracks covering her small cheeks.

"Dear god. I know you are they. I know you are listening and I know you will hear my words. I don't understand what's wrong with me. Is there something wrong with me? All I want is one friend. Someone who will be there to help dry my tears and play with me. Am I wrong to want that?"

Her small hands had covered her face as she cried and continued to cry because even though she went through a life of despair, she knew that in gods eyes they were all the same and so she continued to pray, for her, and for everyone else.

She was the girl that asked god to keep smiles on their faces. To give them a happy filled life and that she could forgive them and grow up in silence because someday they would all have perfect wings and fly into the sky as one.

She was the girl that could never laugh. That stayed unseen by the predators around her and walked the world without notice until god had sent her home one unfortunate night and into his kingdom and into his arms.

She was the girl in heaven and the tears that she had shed every night no longer showed because she was truly happy in the name of the father in heaven.
