Not What You ExpectA Poem by Blacke HennesseyIdle lines
This is not an average rhyme to suit your poetry pining
A blank portal that becomes sensible from a soul that's chiming Oh the marigold aura of the sun smiles on my person, rhyming... Mirror, mirror on the wall what's the most psychotic part in this all Don't be a meanie and stall, my aim was to quickly appall But though the sky's blue haze appears so tranquil, my heart falls Shoulders sagging, I give up this pathetic pretense Who am I kidding? I know my self-esteem isn't dense They called me ugly, dumb and around my heart built I a fence My mother knocked me up the head 'You got no sense!' Tried being smart, not intelligent, so didn't make a difference... Found one thick and decided to do it quick What you ask? What I ask? This mirror is a mimic Just delaying the suicidal pulls by means of lyric Hurry! Hurry! Read this thing in a rush I don't get sympathy much... Daddy bought me a doll for my birthday Moment of happiness spoilt as my mind cries mayday Mother approaches...carrying a large tray Boxing it from my hand, my scalding tears signal payday... Her face was everywhere, haunting me in nightmares Couldn't stand daddy's love for me, yet she didn't care She despised me when he gave me a quick peck My sorrows were not what you expect.
