The Color Black

The Color Black

A Poem by Blackcatattack

A clear bottle containing my darkest dares,

Most devious dreams

That the Devil brushed into my heart.

That forested forbidden place,

An ignorantly forbidden place

That is isolated.

You tell yourself it is not a part of you.

You stand there with a gun in your pocket,

Ready to fire at everything you do not know.

But here I stand, with a brush in my hand

And I paint black around my eyes,

Along my nails.

I paint the secrets you refuse to see

And I laugh in the dark.

Black- the color which symbolizes darkness in one's life: agony, hatred, secret, revenge, bad plan/thoughts, and bad experience.

Here, the voice concealed himself by coloring his face with black..trying to hide from the "evil" one who tries to kill him. Isn't it our defense mechanism to camouflage in our surrounding so that our secrets are not revealed?

Nice presentation.
