State sovereignty, national union

State sovereignty, national union

A Poem by Laura Lynn

State sovereignty, national union

A dazzling set of lights for this Christmas, and scared
Backbiters, which were you and me; we like the frame
Backing.  They said it must be about the state over there,
Appreciative and dominant, with a prairie from John Deere.
Gravel in the bird seed, you laugh at me, I feel selfish, now I
Lay me down to sleep, again and again, it’s every day…
Impossibility is a pretty time to want to be eternally young
Apprehension of death unfixed and prettiest.  I see her hair.
Negligent with my own, not giving it the proper care...

Talented sentences, proper grammar, and silly rules.
Emulsion for Celestial Seasonings that we used to love.
Approach heavenly herbs with caution; it’s what it is, not
Backfiring since it has no place to go to.  If we wanted to,
Backlash only meant attention; you will always be met with criticism.
Arch and superior, I miss the dazzling way of him, I thought of him,
Gratuitous, I always try to be of me, wanting to be yet to give.
Lazy surplus, they have something over there.  I’m not big on
Impure soap or deep dish pizza, and how the man introduced himself.

Approval not even sought on my part, it weighed negatives against
Random positives, like electrons and protons, forget about neutrons.
Euphoria evades the downside.  Corn and soy, corn and soy, corn and
Aquariums…I only saw empty buildings and everybody moved away,
Blunder of production and the historical world’s fair they’re always talking up.
Backward population, there is a new way of revolution, you say you wanted.
Archeologically, we only meant the song, to dig the ground with a tooth brush,
Gripping at a belief in civilizations and old bones, or fossils and we didn’t study
Locksmith characters.  They were gone before we wanted them to be.

Incessant habits drove our piqued interest away.  Isn’t there something you want
Ostentatiously? Or is it better not?  Capes or capers, you flip a coin.
