I rejoice in my loss

I rejoice in my loss

A Poem by Laura Lynn
"

I have lost all, and yet I rejoice

"
Experience is what I see in my age.  But all these projects block the way; and yet success is there in the clearing soon,
Please you, blindly Eleanor, that is me, keeps going across the wide dictionary page in the rain.  She can hardly see.
In fact, she has quite shrunk, or the book has become a field. It is another universe where all the land is a page written,
Crossly and joyfully written upon with so much ink. A woman set out with camels to walk a thousand miles of Australia.
Eventually the epicenters of restless earthquakes shake us up.  The sad minute says do not give up, and still we laugh
Nowhere to find our brilliant diamond, our sapphires of the blue minutiae, the cunning laser show.  No more science.
The night is not young; the day is not old.  We shall not have trousers or wear them rolled.  I will not kiss a camel.
Rice is still growing in a field.  I thought I would go to China to wade through rice paddies and see the Great Wall.
Orion is up there, the hunter with his belt; all we see here in the night sky, and Andromeda.  She had a pretty name.

When my "idolized" Mr. Kerouac helped to developed spontaneous prose I always got the feeling that he was onto something. I obviously not the only one that thought that, but in this writing you can see how methodology is the spine of the message. The object set before the mind, language sketched, although there are periods separating sentences still the flow is indicative of how this should be read I could go on but the main thing is no selectivity of expression as you have such a fluid way to manifest your scenes into a wrrting form. Trying to interpret this would be foolish in this case. I would have a go if wanted but I don't think it would matter to you.

Great style if indeed it is a concious effort.

Thankyou

I like this one, full of thought and effort! Orion is up there, the hunter with his belt; all we see here in the night sky, and Andromeda. She had a pretty name would be my favourite part :3

the epicenter is the heart of us all, capable of much movement, quaking...and here we see a speaker wondering if she will achieve all these things on her bucket list.

the acrostic form works so well here..."a universe where all the land is a page written"

great line there.

The theme feels as if it is things left undone, with a wistfulness born not of unwanted opportunities, but paths not taken, and not necessarily lamented. It is the theme of a person born to read the words of a page, and dream of adventures dreamt by others. But following this is an effort in futility, a lovely, spontaneous approach, and one that I wish I could read more of. There are more secrets hidden in the mind than can be found consciously, so the only way to find them is to write, and learn what secrets may come.

This is great. The part about the dictionary.

This is my favorite.

Acrostichon with the word Epicentro. 'The epicenter or restless earthquakes'. Rich choice of words, it's as if all those words and sentences ar shaken, meaning and no meaning. It reads as fantasy and still... Very well done, Laura. Glad you shared this. :)

The narrative aspect to this is incredible. It feels like a poetic entry into the authors mind, running through each door of creativity in a maze of imaginary. You also hint subtle messages through this write that scream volumes of endurance, perseverance and strength mixed with adventure and loss. Time is the dimension throughout this wonderful piece and you are the ferryman that helps row us through the rivers of life. We rejoice in your words.
