Despotic

A Poem by Laura Lynn
"

The word despotism means to "rule in the fashion of a despot" and does not necessarily require a singular "despot", an individual. Despot comes from the Greek despotes, which roughly means "master"

Dumb time makes its way.          Dare yourself to go again, self.
I've made terrible mistakes.      In your indolence you will not
So much flour and coffee          Succeed.  You will be stationary.
Plumping the body up puffy.       Please take yourself there again.
Obnoxious and upsetting,          Omit error, just quickly go at it.
The horrible habits of ambition,  Thankfulness is your mission today.
Irrationality, and desire for     Invest in your project. You're you.
Change, so what another day       Cheekiness exists outside of lives.
Of the treadmill and no sweeping? Open the door, go out, come back.
