GARNISHED WARFARE

GARNISHED WARFARE

A Chapter by Laura Lynn

Cans, yellow Peep’s tin can protects him
from the rain. Chirp is red.
Igloos are absent from this deciduous scene

unless we build a shelter in winter.
Seagulls fly around all of the world. "Boom!”

       (The bomb.) The albatross dies.
How are you going to paint the town red?
(fragile child) “The elevator lifted us
Up really fast, and then we shouted “aaaaaaa-aaa,”
       he says. Abrasively I say.
Trigger starts with ‘cee’he says.“Seagull”
No,I say. The kid“you pull   it.”
