To Garner

To Garner

A Poem by Laura Lynn

Lender of himself was the world, both life and love to me, I thought,
Except it is just a feeling we attribute to a random specimen? Think straight.
Except I can’t think now because it is late and I cannot imagine every night
Sucked up in silence like this.  What a dream, will it always be that way?
Of course.  I do not need to rush about it.  I do not need a man. For shame.
For God, take me to church feet.  Wake me up body.  Lift me up hands.

Laura Lynn: Read it twice, get the really it wasn't what you anticipated? I'm new and understand that sucked up in silence quite well - I'm not understanding church feet...Thank you.
