Garish

Garish

A Poem by Laura Lynn

The garish shirt he wore brightened
Scheduled classes.  He wanted her.
Almost immediately the heightened
Assembly decided to wait…

Can you not see what would happen?
Another month passes and it’s too late.
Now time stands still.  The grapes ripen.
I’m left here alone looking at a void.
