Gardenia

Gardenia

A Poem by Laura Lynn
"

This is call the fib poem based on the Fibonacci sequence for syllable count per line, usually only 6-8 lines. 1 1 2 3 5 8 (13, 21, 34, etc.)

"

Give
And
Receive,
Daring time,
Each gardenia
Needs sun and water and a bright
Inhabitable window. Where are the other plants?
Take me like this aromatic flower; to have and to hold some day.

I love this! I'm enthralled with the style that you have mentioned - I have never heard of the Fibonacci sequence. It is brilliant in its simplicity while offering enough variation in syllable count through the addition sequence for creativity to flourish.
