ANSWERING

ANSWERING

A Poem by Laura Lynn

Monotony might be a way of making goals manageable.
A
tonement may be necessary for ties, or even survival.
S
teers stare at us from their side of the fence, he veers,
H
onking at the semitrailer in the opposite lane, his eyes
I
ntercepted by the massive vehicle.  The woman takes
V
iability for granted, only noting the absence of cows.

I especially like the first line. It makes us think. Perhaps everything has a purpose.
It made me notice that there are gears turning in even what seem to be dormant.
What people see in the same environment gave me imagery of everyone being in their
own world. Thought provoking work. Your style is very unique.
