Dad, Thank you.

Dad, Thank you.

A Poem by Blackbird1968
"

My real dad was never a major part of my life. My step dad took his job and blew him out of the water. I appreciate everything he has done.

"

 Dad, you truly missed out
I have grown to be such a strong women
And you have no role in that.

Dad, you left my mom when she was just 18
A month before I turned one
You left with some one who later on would be the mother of your second child

Dad, you told me youd stay
Dad, you promised you loved me
Dad, why don't you love me?

My mom introduced me to a man 3 year later.
  He made my mom happy.
A year after that I was asked a very important question.
A question that put my mom and my own happiness in my hands.

He said: "This is up to you. I am willing to do what ever it takes to gain your trust and love. Do you want me to be your dad?

I said yes. Not really knowing exactly what decision I just made.

Dad, Thank you for being my dad.
Dad, You will always stay right?
Dad, You love me I know you do.
Dad, Thank you.

Your stepfather must be a wonderful man! You have given him thanks for being so in a most touching way! I am sure he is proud of you too!!
It is not always easy to accept a stepfather, or stepmother and not all are what they should be, so I am extra happy you have both made your relationship such a loving one!!
