First Beautiful Woman

First Beautiful Woman

A Poem by Black_Oxygen

First Beautiful Woman

Inside me is a passion that never stops biting
A blank paper is a challenge like none other
Exposing many emotions with my writing
I'm convinced it's a gift from my Mother

I am not trying to be overly sentimental
I love you, is never too abundantly heard
Submitting this declaration is monumental
To use this platform to express these words

Together or apart, I put this message in the wind
The love and respect for women began with you
Not just a disciplinarian that chose to be a friend
"Mother" is the first beautiful woman that I knew

You gave me my first hug, and then my first kiss
The love and respect for women began with you
You showed me that a female will be man's bliss
"Mother" is the first beautiful woman that I knew

I’m embarked on a search that’s never done
Mold is broken, like you, there's none other
I sing the battle cry of many a father's son
Hoping for a girl exactly like my Mother

Not given choice of parents; we relent
We wish to choose with whom we begin
I bestow unto you my highest compliment
My choice of Mother: ‘YOU’, again and again

This is a very well writtenn piece. I love this stanza:
Not given choice of parents; we relent
We wish to choose with whom we begin
I bestow unto you my highest compliment
My choice of Mother: 'YOU', again and again
I can really see what love and respect you have for your mother. Great job with the strong emotion in this poem.

Much have been said that it takes a man to raise a son, but mothers can instill so much to shape a boy's life. This powerful piece has so much conviction and soul...I couldn't help but nod my head in agreement after every stanza! You brought it with this one!
