Friends, a different side

People say that the scariest thing is when:

a "friend" stabs you in the back.

I say it's scariest when they stab you in the front.

Haha cute concept and nicely worded.

Really liking the cynical tone and simplicity of the poem.

However, line three - do you mean 'scariest thing'? Or, 'I say it's scarier when...'
Just wondering because it is perfect in its simplicity, but wanted to make sure it makes sense too. Unless this was on purpose - in which case, ignore me :)

Thanks, and no it wasn't on purpose, i was just rushing it while I was writing because I'm in school and only have a few minutes to update it before the next lesson (don't worry I'm in a free period right now, so no missing lessons)
