Prologue

"So, what would be a good riff for the new song?" Kitty asked as she downed a bottle of listerine.

Mikare sat on the couch playing a complex riff in 7/8ths time on a custom eight-string Dean guitar. Leviathan was laying down on a couch across from Mikarie with a bottle of beer in hand.

"I was thinking a B-minor scale like this and you could harmonize in thirds on the second measure," Mikarie said as she played the riff, even doing the harmonies at the same time.

To be honest, I did not know much about music theory. Guess that is why I loved playing the bass, just backing the guitars up with the root note. The fact that it is also pretty easy to play helps.

"We could always add a piano," Angel said as she flipped through the physics textbook.

Angel was the only girl that was close to my age. Out of everyone I was the youngest in the band. Of course, that did not stop the others from treating me like everyone else. They saw me as normal which is all I ever wanted from people.

"Yeah right, like you don't already have enough piano parts," Kitty said as she made her way towards me.

"What about you Raven? Any ideas?"

"W-Well, I..."

Kitty straddled my lap. Her hand slowly brushed the hair from my eyes. She suddenly whispered into my ear.

"If you have a good idea I will let do as you please to my feet later," she said.

She must really want the song to be different if she is asking me to help out. Kitty suddenly hopped off my lap.

"Well, I guess I will just go masturbate until I come up with a great riff!"

Angel quickly put down her book.

"Kitty...no one needs to know that. That is just gross and it is a sin."

"You should just leave it alone Angel. We know how Kitty can be," Leviathan said as she drink more of her beer.

Kitty merely smiled and nodded. Just another day in Winter Nightmare.

Haha hardly. I am decent enough to play to stuff from bands like Asking Alexandria and I Killed the Prom Queen. I definitely cannot play anything by Winter Nightmare xD
