Painting A Sunset

Painting A Sunset

A Poem by BlackRose23

Reflected in the water below
An artist has taken his brush and painted the sky
Light pinks, golden yellows and dark blues
With a streak of purple here and there
He has painted a masterpiece
That will make people stop and stare
At the beauty of the colors
They will ask him how he did it
But he will only reply with a mysterious smile
For only he knows the secret to painting a sunset

Beautiful. Truly Love how it played out, for each artist holds something back, when creating a Masterpiece. Lovely Work.

2017 BlackRose23,
"Painting a Sunset"
"Reflected in the water below" This line really gives every color as painted by the master artist even more power.
The painting of sky is seen as a reflection of a reflection of God's great mind. We are the admiring ones...without understanding but knowing we are enthralled. "taken His brush and painted the sky. Light pinks, golden yellows and dark blues..a streak of purple here and there...a masterpiece..make people stop and stare..beauty of the colors. " These spark the memories of many a day end song Iv'e loved!
Your last line is perfect; "They will ask him how he did it. But he will only reply with a mysterious smile...for only he knows the secret to painting a sunset."
You bet, that is exactly right!
Blessings in your life and writing.
Kathy
