Terrible Train TracksA Chapter by Ravyn For You
"Come on, Lane. Don't be such a baby. It's just the tracks. You can feel a train coming from a mile away." Collin persuaded, and I looked at the time. It was a little past midnight. I yawned, looking at my eager friends. Well...
"Alright fine, let me get on some clothes." I said, and I pulled off my pajamas. I slid on a shirt with some shorts and climbed out of my window where they were standing. "Boo-yah." Collin said, handing me a flashlight. Collin, Greg, Tony, and I started to walk to the train tracks, making sure the police didn't see us out past curfew. We ran across the street and stumbled through the woods. It was cold, but the humidity made me happy I chose shorts. The air was thick, and I trudged through the forest with the rest of them. We started to see cigarette butts and broken beer bottles, so we knew we were close. "This way." Tony said, and I shined my lights on the rusty red tracks. "Do you hear that? It's the train coming. Let's play chicken." Tony announced. © 2014 Ravyn For YouAuthor's Note
