Gone

Gone

A Poem by Hailey

Too far to reach
She ran away to hide
Her brain feels bleached
Nothing left to find

Staring blankly
Can't remember who she is
She's numb, frankly
Memories like acid, heart starts to fizz

Shaking inside
She's out in the open
But everyone seems blind
No one notices she's broken
No one was ever that kind

I feel the pain of one of the invisible people. Very good images, the uncaring attitude of society towards these lost ones rings out clearly here.
