Tempest galeA Poem by Marie MooreI wrote this about a year ago, it's my first try in poetry!I watched as the snow grew, white clouding my vision. I was afraid, I have never seen anything quite as frightening as this. It was going on, loud and cold. I thought I was going to die. I can still remember when it started. There was no warning, it just appeared out of thin air. I was scared as I watched millions die. I watched as their bodies bent and twisted. These poor humans had no idea what hit them. I watched as their blood mingled with the white, making it seem a twirl of snow-white and rose-red. They ran and ran, trying to get away from this natural disaster. Poor humans, they only made it as far as a foot. They cried and screamed, their voices piercing all around. The thickness of white grew, blinding us all of our natural sense, our sight. This didn’t sit well with the others, afraid and lost in this hellish blizzard. Once it finally ended, the sight before my eyes was not welcomed, there was bodies everywhere. They were mangled and torn, blood all over the snow. Some were even frozen and covered in the beautiful snow, unmoving and unspoken. © 2015 Marie MooreAuthor's Note
