Arguing With The Heavens

Arguing With The Heavens

A Poem by Serenity Faith

I look to the heavens,
and ask God why
Must these clouds,
mock my eyes

I'm ignored at first,
as the sky falls down
releasing it's tears
upon my crown.

The sky opens up,
did it hear my cry
Instead it yells back,
a thunderous reply

I keep my pace,
in the pouring rain
while the heavens call,
out all my pain

act as you do,
be that way
instead of offering,
a brighter day

I'm hurt, i'm sad,
I'm angry too
why Heaven's I ask,
what happened to you

The heavens pause,
for quite some time
a penny for its thoughts,
then it begins to shine

I smile to myself,
no need to disagree
you are only you
and I am only me

You seem to like using weather as imagery which does suggest that you yourself are quite emotional, definately an advantage which shows through your work. You have a gift with words, work to perfect and one day you could do anything.

Thank you very much. And yes, I do have quite a bit of emotion. It does help when I'm writing though.. read more
