Pretty naive girl

I call it World,

Eyes so wide, heart so loud

as you're spun across the floor

Blurred images pass by

Can you really be sure?

Who are the monsters?

Who are the saints?

Whose mask is real?

Whose mask is fake?

Each face is smiling

yet how can you tell

Whose smile is wicked?

Deceit's done so well...

Such a happy little girl

In the hands of Lie

He seems so wonderful

by the glimmer in his eye

He dips you suddenly

sweet breath on your skin

confusing your mind

not seeing the sin

Lie's World is wonderful

He's charmed your soul

It's too late when you realize

His actual goal

The decorations are garbage

Shiny junk for your attention

Truth wasn't even invited

He wasn't even mentioned

This masquerade, this World

You fell into it's trance

From the moment Lie grinned

and asked you to dance...

Hahaha one of my all time favorite movies...I was watching it the other day and it reminded me of this poem....unfortunately I can't figure out how to copy the actual video I wanted for this(via tablet), so to find out what I'm referring to...copy the link xD

This one reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera. There's a song called "Masquerade" and everyone was wearing masks, obviously, and dancing and they're all fancy and stuff. I really like this one. Although there's a social commentary in this one, it felt, I don't know, warm and lighthearted--for some reason. Either way, it's a good write.

Thank you, teehee I didnt even think of The Phantom of the Opera, what came to mind for me was Labrynth, with David Bowie as the goblin king ^_^ I posted a link to youtube with one of my favorite scenes and songs from that movie.

My ex girlfriend is kind of a little kid. She made me watch it. She likes watching little kids movies. I think her favorite movies are The Last Unicorn, Quest to Camelot, and the Labyrinth. She also likes musicals like Sweeney Todd, Burlesque, Phantom of the Opera, Across the Universe.

.....please dont be offended when I say this, but your ex has pretty darn good taste in movies...as im a tim burton kind of gal as well >< and I really really wanna see burlesque lol. You're just too cool. And even though those are little kids movies...the first ones anyways...they were all 80s movies so normally people our age, dont really know of them unless they were just dorks like me or had older sinlings like me lol

Oh my god....I LOVE dancing...ive always wanted to go to a rave or a club or something, but my husband would never let me or go with me. Before I had my daughter, I had scholarships for dancing and acting to schools in New York. My momma made me turn them down though, and told me to wait for those after I graduated high school, but unfortunately, ive always been working to take care of everything. Im glad I could make your day ^_^

Not just draw, I paint! I started with landscapes. then moved on to portraits. then back to landscapes. then seascapes. then abstract. now I've been in a long 2 year hiatus. Haven't touched a brush since.
