This poem is absolutely awesome! I really like your use of "image" instead of "mirror" - it makes it more personal, in my opinion, to have a conversation with your quasi alter ego than an object. Love the subject as well - we all could really use someone, and be that somebody our reflection, to cheer us up with a pep talk exactly like this when we think too lowly of ourselves. However much there may be too criticize, there's bound to be so much more to praise. The hardest part is seeing and acknowledging the good in you, so it would be nice to have somebody kind point them out.
Again, a wonderful poem you have here!

I got to thinking one day after reading so many "down on yourself poetry" that if people looked into their mirror, their image would probably want to smack some self confidence into them. Besides, while we're standing their insulting ourselves, we're insulting our sister/brother images in the mirror too. That's not very nice, now is it? ^_~

That's a good point, lol.

I was looking at the picture I used for this, of me looking in the mirror from about a year ago. I thought "My reflection seems to be smirking at me as if something clever's going through her thoughts, while the part of me looking in, looks curious." and thus my thoughts kept wondering and wondering until this happened xD I liked the Mirror mirror concept, but somehow it just seemed too used to me, and I wasn't really talking to the mirror, more of what was in it ^_^

Wow. So deep and emotional, very exciting. You completely captured many teenagers opinions of themselves. That's definitely one thing I look for when I'm reading a poem- the ability to relate to the content displayed. And you did that perfectly. Bravo, Emily. Keep bringing the amazing work. Rating 100/100

Wooot! ^_^ that makes me really happeh! Thanks so much Cole!
Human beings are generally self-conscious creatures. Self-confidence becomes an important part of everyone's lives as individuals. The world is revolving around each of us, individually. We feel lonely at times and we even feel that everybody hates us. We tend to believe others have more self-confidence than us. Our self-confidence is deeply affected by this. Little you know, everybody feels like this too. So it's okay:)
This is a great piece. I love the way you use the typical form of language. Its simplicity and loosely defined structure made it easy to follow.
Keep up the good work!

I appreciate the great review! Thanks so much! ^_^
There is so much attention put on looks these day that it always seems we are flawed. We are flawed but that is the beauty in all of us. None of us are the same and we all are unique. I know I have had this moment staring in the mirror myself wishing something looked differently. It is almost as if you don't see yourself for who you really are but only see the imperfections.
