The Entertainer and The ViewerA Poem by Serenity FaithWhen happiness seems unreal, out of reach. The curtain rises the magician surprises appearing in smoke making me choke He's absolutely brilliant I try to stay resilient against all his magic yet i can't, how tragic His looks are charming and I find him alarming as he takes my hand causing me to stand I walk to the stage placed within a cage my trust stays intact then is lost in the act I dissappear placed back in my seat my worlds now unclear he was so discreet He the entertainer made images planar And I the viewer became a pursuer The audience cheered His presence revered I was just a pawn And he was now gone He was the Magician Happiness, A perplex illusion, A slide of hand, And a trick of the heart.
