Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Shikon Akuma Ookami

Drowning

Starting out in life you feel confident
Like you can do this
Then, when coming into adulthood
You finally realize, you're fucked
you keep running and running and running
But no matter how far you run, you only stay in one place
Suddenly when you look down, you only see darkness
Your despair, pain, sadness, fear and lonely all reaching up to grab you
It's then you realize, you were only trying to outrun yourself,
Out run all the pain and misery that's built up over the years,
But it's too late,
It's so hard to breath it feels like your drowning in a vast, unforgiving ocean.

I think the majority of us humans feel exactly like you do in this poem. But the trick is to take each day as a brand new start. And not to think of yesterday, or even tomorrow coming. But just to live for that moment in time. And enjoy that moment in time for what it's a moment in time. You are alive and breathing. And can walk and talk and do whatever you like. Free will to be happy. I know it's far from easy. But have faith within YOU. And live for the moment. The now...hugs Dawn.

My source of inspiration would be from the amazing Animes I watch, and Mangas I've read. One piece is by far my favorite. I learn something new every episode that's helped guide me in both writings an.. more..
