DrowningA Poem by Shikon Akuma OokamiDrowning Starting out in life you feel confident Like you can do this Then, when coming into adulthood You finally realize, you're fucked you keep running and running and running But no matter how far you run, you only stay in one place Suddenly when you look down, you only see darkness Your despair, pain, sadness, fear and lonely all reaching up to grab you It's then you realize, you were only trying to outrun yourself, Out run all the pain and misery that's built up over the years, But it's too late, It's so hard to breath it feels like your drowning in a vast, unforgiving ocean.
