Wilted Autumn

Wilted Autumn

A Poem by WynterPhoenix

A dreamer’s requiem,

a quintessential adieu.

You dove into my wishing well and

stole all desires I made for you.

You seized the stars

from my midnight sky,

caused the scars,

the tears in my eye.

I only wanted happiness.

Something more than this frail smile.

A reality of feeling alive,

instead of existing in denial.

A dreamer’s requiem,

a quintessential adieu.

You dove into my wishing well and

stole all desires I made for you.

I was simply a wilted flower

in your garden built to deceive.

Worthless and pitiful,

the way I was perceived.

Ocean eyes of empty emotion,

caused by your award winning scene.

My heart left a shattered puzzle,

missing pieces on the screen.

Decaying faster,

unraveling at the seams.

Ever oblivious to the immaculate

depths of my screams.

A dreamer’s requiem,

a quintessential adieu.

You dove into my wishing well and

stole all desires I made for you.

Wonderful.
You are so talented and your writing is as beautiful and haunting as the images it puts in my head.
Keep up the good work.
