You Could Have Saved Her

You Could Have Saved Her

A Poem by WynterPhoenix

They’re all fans

But who would care.

They don’t read

What’s really there.

Every word is

A part of me.

Every line is the girl

I used to be.

Not the girl

Before your eyes.

A lonely girl

Consumed with lies.

An actress

Is all that you see.

But don’t youknow?

She’s a part of me.

The only one

That really knows.

Yet, everyone has

Harmed the rose.

A beautiful girl

Hiding from view.

Her only savior?

It’s you.

She listens to the ones

That won’t listen back.

Maybe if they had, they’d know.

She’s under attack.

Her mind is a monster,

With territory queer.

She’s screaming in terror,

But you never hear.
