Apology Storm

Understand that no matter how many times you say you're sorry it wont wash away all the pain and hurt you caused.

I’m sorry I wasn’t always there,

and I’m sorry if I let you down.

I’m sorry if I ever made a joke

and unknowingly caused a frown.

I’m sorry if I ignored you and

tried to bring disgrace to your name.

I’m sorry if I left you crying,

leaving yourself to blame.

I’m sorry if I ever hurt you,

or traded a rumor for a lie.

I’m sorry if I helped clip your wings

and stopped you from learning to fly.

I’m sorry if I stood on the sidelines

and watched others laugh at you.

I’m sorry if I joined them and

proved my manners to be untrue.

But most of all, I’m sorry,

for not keeping the lies on track.

I know now I lost you, and no amount

of apologies can ever bring you back.

Nobody is perfect. In your lifetime you have or will cause someone else's pain. Even if unintentionally, no one is innocent when it comes to bullying, but everyone is capable of apologizing for causing the pain.

Yes no one is perfect and we all certainly make mistakes and hurt others along the path. If we learn from the experience even though maybe we can't ever regain the friendship of the one we hurt, then we have not failed. A wonderful piece.

I adore this poem. It's an apology like this that is true and from the heart. Apologies today consist of nothing more than "sorry", and sorry is starting to become an overused, pointless word. But when you add why you're sorry, it makes the apology so much more important and true. I love the rhyming and flow of this

Correct, I guess. Though I think a lot of it when it happens in pain is unintentional for some people, but it's those that knowingly bring someone hurt, that's when a line is crossed that shouldn't be and there's an even bigger issue.
