Love The Difference

Love The Difference

A Poem by WynterPhoenix

“I’m not like her.

Her hair is

More shiny.

Her voice,

More soft.

She’s skinny,

And has more friends.

Nobody in the world

Looks like me.

Nobody in the world

Looks at me.

Nobody,

Cares to know my name.”

Soft whispers spoken,

Somewhere they’re heard.

You’re not like her,

But honestly,

Do you want to be?

Her hair is shiny,

Because she spends

Hours making it perfect.

Her voice is soft,

But at times,

Obnoxious.

She’s skinny,

But your curves

Are beautiful.

Sure, she has friends,

But they talk

Behind her back.

Nobody looks like you,

Because you are unique.

Nobody looks at you?

Maybe, you just can’t see.

Lift your eyes,

Hold your head

up and smile.

Someone in this world

Is in love with you,

But scared.

Nobody asks your name,

But have you asked them?

Perhaps

The story has two

Endings.

Pick up your pen

And create new beginnings.

Remember to smile

At least once a day.

Who knows?

Someone else may

Need it more than you.

Congratulations.

You just made

Somebody’s day.
