Catastrophe

Catastrophe

A Poem by WynterPhoenix

Haunted feelings,
burned in flesh.
A weakened soul,
adapting to time.
A misdemeanor of
absent strength.
Confidence is fleeting
with every breath.

She's a cheat,
with a heart of gold.
A tainted crook,
whose time is sold.
All she asks
is for you to see
there's no stopping
this catastrophe.

Broken emotions,
turned to tears.
A basketed goal
with stolen years.
An outcast to
society's dream.
Growing more empty
with every scream.

You can can't stop my catastrophe.

Blah. This was originally written as a song...that I don't like. Still going through a creative block so I'm just writing whatever.

A very good poem. I like the way you led the reader into wild thoughts and places. When we are headed to catastrophe. Hard to stop the dead-end journey. Thank you for the excellent poem.

(; Yeah, just edit it later when you have time. I don't know what goes wrong here, but you'll see it for yourself when you're done. But nonetheless, I enjoyed the poem (:
