Discarded HurtA Poem by WynterPhoenix"It's sad when friends become enemies. But what's even worse is when they become strangers." - Hayley Williams Butterfly kisses and eye lash wishes. Kitty whiskers and a glossy stone. Sunkissed lemon drops, buried memories in a grave unknown. Downward spiraling of a controversial hold. Taunting dialogues of two girls lost. An alliance forgotten, though emotions are quarantined, not tossed. A longing for the memoirs, forever hiding the hurt. Dropping all the photographs, covering them in dirt. Counting petals on every stem, assuring the sound of forget-me-nots. A silent cry drowns in hushed prayers. Alike an apple, our fickle corpse rots. Rebirth is indefinite. A shallow hole consuming sacred souls. Haunting diaries are a secret form. Innocent banter of which my heart tolls. Discarded emotions, a monotonous tone. A grinding pain of missed adventures cutting deeper, sawing the bone. A vacuum seal leaking deafening shrills, baring the marks of a pain that kills.
