Gabby's Hair

Gabby's Hair

A Poem by H. E. Schreiter

Long and luscious

With a golden sheen

Soft and silky

Like satin

Beautiful beyond compare

It fans out

Underneath her

Like rays of sunlight

Always flowing

Always falling

A never-ending tide

Falling across her shoulders

Her golden locks of pride

They frame her face so perfectly

Like a picture

It makes me think of another

Rapunzel is her name

Though it is not that long

I see them as the same

It flows across her shoulders

Like the cape of superman

It blows in the wind

The flag of gold

Shimmering in the sunlight

Truly a sight to behold

These extensions of her are beautiful

In every single way

They just add to her beauty

Increasing it in size

The tresses make her perfect

At least in my eyes

Her golden silky locks

Treasure in disguise.
