Satisfaction

Satisfaction

A Poem by Curiosity and Black Angel
"

Satisfaction deals with the painful regret in losing a true love. Extremely difficult to swallow are the choices in which we make when such passionate feelings are involved.

"

Satisfaction

I am content with the way
we left things before you walked
out of my door.

But I am not content with the dishonesty.

We both lie about our feelings.
You continue to hide behind that wall
of yours surrounding your heart, and I hide behind my insecurities.

Purposely I avoid you every chance I get.

Our love is a conflict of interest.

You keep walking out of the door and
I keep allowing you to do it.
I want desperately to jump in front of
the door and stop you.

Wow, relationships are tough, but this says you do allow her and you want to stop her but don't. Stormy weather is expected from time to time, but when it becomes continuous, it pounds away at you. Feeling like love is a conflict of interest is not a good one. Maybe as one reader said the air needs to be cleared and then see what forms. An all to common situation here and you did a good job of capturing it.

This is how I'm feeling at the moment. True love is extremely difficult to swallow for me when the other is not there or not really to be loved. Thanks for sharing the passionate and bittersweet poem!

I've wanted to jump many times as well, but sometimes you need someone who wont ever even dream of leaving the room. Very powerful, short and sharp.

True love is like a two-way street where both people meet face-to-face in the middle. None of us should settle for less. There's much truth in your poem. Sharon

Sometimes it is easier for us to say or write things than it is for us to take action and actually and do what we say...I think the hardest part is that you realize both your flaws and hers, yet you can't do anything to correct them for the better...But by speaking from experience sometimes it is easier just to be the first person to open up and tell the other your feelings because then it will be easier for her to open up to you...We are all just afraid of rejection or what the significant other will think of our true feelings but in reality that may be what she really NEEDS to hear...and what you NEED to say...
I really enjoyed you poem for its honesty...

Relationships are difficult and this poem touches on that pain very well. Sometimes our pride and fear overpowers our love. What makes it worse is when we choose to let it go and it haunts us.

This was a great and truthful write. I enjoyed reading it.

Yes, it's painful to lose someone you care so much for, but we can't make them love us, can we? Hard decisions to make, for sure. very thoughtful, sensitive write!
