Be My Valentine Baby!

Would you be my valentine?

For twenty-four hours cause that’s all I need.

 

We could do anything, the sky is the limit.

We could share a breakfast filled

with waffles and chocolate chip pancakes.

 

We could walk through the park,

hand in hand, showing the world that we love each other.

 

We could picnic by the beach.

I could make heart-shaped sandwiches without the crusts just like you prefer

and we could listen to the water graze the beach sand.

 

We could talk for hours about anything you’d like.

I could read you one of my love poems

or you could tell me about your dreams and aspirations.

 

We could have a candlelit dinner under the starlit night’s sky.

The gentle breeze of the night brushing through your hair.

 

We could make the most passionate love either of us thought was achievable.

We could make love on a thousand red rose petals.

 

We could finally say those three words that have lingered on the tip of our

 

tongues all day long as we watch the next day’s sunrise… I love you!

if this was the first love poem i have ever read, i would love it, but unfortunately it's not. it's well written, but it's just been done before. and i know people are gonna hate me or whatever, but fam, this poem encompasses too many know cliches about a romance poem. from picnics, to holding hands, to beaches, and rose petals. it's just to much man. originality is key.
