Chapter 32

Chapter 32

A Chapter by Black

“Christopher! What…how did you get in here?!”

I start to go for the door to my room, can’t belief that he would break into my room like this

“Kathy, wait. “ he says.

He puts his hand gently on my shoulder and for some reason, it stops my dead in my tracks. It’s like there is this warm feeling going through me. It feels nice, like something I had and then lost.

He turns me around and I look up at him. His smile is there, it seems so caring, so warm, so inviting. I can’t help but smile a little bit at him.

“Kathy, I just wanted to see if you were okay. I didn’t just want to leave stuff like that.”

“Yeah, I’m okay I guess, I can just take care of myself you know” I answer.

As he looks at me, I see something change in his eyes, it’s only for a moment. I can’t really put my finger on it, but something in that moment reminded me of something I had forgotten a long time ago, and can’t remember anymore.

He smiles even more, “I’m sure that you can, Kathy.”

He laughs genuinely, and I can’t help but laugh with him, because somehow I can tell he’s not laughing at me.

He takes his hand off my shoulder.

“I’m glad your okay Kathy. I know we’re just neighbors, but if you ever need anything, just call me.”

He looks around the room. While i see that I try to find out what he is thinking about.

“You also might want to get out of this room, I think the pink would drive me insane.” He tends to say with a serious look. Which fails miserably.

I look around and laugh with him. He’s so right.

“Kathy?” I hear Lizzy calling from down the hall. I hear her coming closer. I don’t really want to see her right now.

Christopher looks at the door. “I should probably get going. She might get the wrong idea if she sees me here.”

He laughs, but there is something in it. It’s like he knows her really well and there is another reason that he isn’t supposed to be here. But he probably does know her better than I do, after all, he is her neighbor, I’ve only lived here for a few days.

“Bye Kathy, I’ll see you some time soon.” He says.

Before I can even say bye, he is gone outside the window.  Not returning later this night either.

‘’Kathy!’’ Lizzy says while opening the door.

‘’Didn’t you ever hear of knocking?’’ i say while looking back at her.

Good chapter... nice to read.

She shouldn't be so hard on Lizzy, Lizzy just wants to be a good parent-like person. I like Christopher, but still don't trust him.
