Shining Star

miy first poem...EVAH!

shining star,
how you remind me of a lovely lily
in a garden of roses

like a blue butterfly
surrounded with falling brown leaves

like the first snowflake
that falls upon an endless field of grass

like an eerie glow
in the midst of the night

like the only thing
that seems to know us entirely

shining star,
you are the haunting yet the most gentle enigma that appears every night
