My Girl

My Girl

A Poem by BlakeDuckers
"

For my fiance Lydia. For the bad times i am sorry, for the good I love you more.

"
Love set sail
Upon a shaking sea
I got down
On a stumbling knee
Drunk as the night
I gave you my heart
Later that year
I fed you a dart
I told you a secret
from my rusty mind
you wiped away tears
And left me behind
Now we are better
All wounds have sealed
The love we once known
Was once again healed.

My Girl.

It is quite good. You don't have to rhyme, and rhyming can actually be quite tricky, so give yourself a back pat.
