Robin Red

Robin Red

A Poem by CagedBIRDsings
"

There's a story to this but I'd rather you interpret this yourself :)

"

Robin red, robin dead

Beautiful bullet through the head

Why didn't you take me instead?

*********

Nest fallen, feather collision

You came to me with a hope, a vision

A naive goal with no revision

*********

Blossom bloom brightly against black

Wings folded, cold and slack

I wouldn't go forward but you won't come back

*********

Regretful snow upon the ground

Slowly falling without a sound

Covering up that scarlet mound

*********

Robin red, robin dead

I yelled, I shouted, I screamed, I said

"Won't you come back to sing by my bed?"
